New to Darkbloom?

Darkbloom ↗ lets compatible Macs serve AI requests and earn from that work. Bloom is an independent companion for reporting, phone access, and optional model optimization. You need both apps running to use Bloom with a live provider.

Begin with Darkbloom’s official Mac setup guide ↗. Check its current hardware and macOS requirements, install the provider, link your account, and confirm your Mac is connected and verified. Then return here to add Bloom.

1. Install and connect

1. Have Darkbloom installed, signed in, and working with a supported downloaded model.
2. Download the disk image using your browser. Open it, drag Bloom Dashboard Beta into Applications, then launch it from Applications.
3. Follow Bloom’s local setup to connect your Darkbloom account. Keep account tokens and passwords on your Mac; never send them in Slack.
4. If macOS blocks installation, stop and send the exact error to the organizer. Do not disable Gatekeeper or remove quarantine protections.

2. Start with free reporting

Start in Observe with your normal model and confirm that earnings, model status and readings update. Letting Bloom run for a couple of hours is a useful first check; there is no required waiting period before trying other features. You can continue reliability checks over the next day or two. Observe records history without automatically switching models. Closing the window keeps Bloom in the menu bar; quitting stops collection and automation. Your Mac must stay awake.

After about two hours of healthy monitoring, Bloom can show optional tips below the live pulses for phone access and the optimizer. You can postpone either tip for a day or dismiss it permanently. These tips stay on your Mac and work independently of optional usage sharing.

3. Try Pro when you’re ready

You can request a free 14-day optimizer trial. Open More → Bloom plans → Request optimizer trial. Review and copy the prepared message, then DM copyfax in the Darkbloom Slack. The message includes your Bloom version and installation ID; nothing is sent automatically. Trial access is approved manually. The trial starts when your code is issued, so request it when ready. There is no payment or automatic renewal.

Activating Pro does not enable automatic switching by itself. Enable the optimizer when you choose; qualified switches may interrupt active work. Manual model selection pauses automation.

Help improve Bloom, if you want

Optional usage sharing starts off. Choose whether to share coarse hardware and daily setup/feature activity during setup or in More → Bloom plans → Help improve Bloom. This helps us understand adoption and setup issues without receiving your earnings, account details or license ID. Declining leaves all features available. You can turn it off and request deletion there at any time. Read the privacy details.

Phone and multiple Macs are optional

Start on one Mac. For phone access, use your own Tailscale account on your Mac and phone, then open More → Phone access in Bloom on the Mac. The Mac must remain online. Managed phone access is not included.

For fleets, begin with two Macs and verify individual device reports before expanding to five. Each Mac collects its own history and runs its own optimizer; Pro codes are bound to each installation.
